  • Job Summary:

    Centra Medical Group Village is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our growing outpatient family medicine team.

    Our practice provides care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients while focusing on improving the overall wellness and lifestyle of the communities we serve.     This outpatient-only opportunity allows you to build long-term patient relationships while practicing in one of Virginia’s most scenic regions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services for patients across the lifespan

    • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions

    • Conduct wellness exams, preventive care visits, and routine health screenings

    • Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate follow-up care

    • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, wellness, and lifestyle management

    • Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and specialists to ensure high-quality patient care

    • Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)

    • Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives

    • Contribute to a collaborative and patient-centered clinical culture

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program

    • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required

    • Current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority

    • Active Virginia RN license or multistate licensure privilege required

    • National board certification in area of specialization required

    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

    • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

    • New graduates encouraged to apply through Centra’s ThriveAP transition-to-practice program

    Work Environment & Schedule:

    • Outpatient-only primary care practice

    • Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

    • No call responsibilities

    • No weekends or major holidays

    • 4 hours of dedicated administrative time weekly

    • Average patient volume of 16–18 patients per day

    • Extensive 8–12 week orientation program

    • Collaborative and supportive APP and physician-led team environment

    Additional Compensation Details - Relocation: 15k - Sign On Bonus - 26 Days of PTO - $3,500 CME + 5 Days to use it - Loan Reimbursement - PSLF - 3% Match Immediately Vested 403b Plan
