East Georgia Regional Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our growing gastroenterology program in Statesboro, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity to step into an established practice with strong APP support, an efficient outpatient and hospital workflow, and a growing patient demand.
Whether you're a new graduate or an experienced physician, you'll join a collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality gastrointestinal care while maintaining an excellent work-life balance.
Opportunity Highlights
- Join a well-established gastroenterology practice with experienced physician partners
- Current team includes 3 gastroenterologists supported by dedicated Advanced Practice Providers
- Practice focuses on allowing physicians to maximize procedural time through strong clinical support
- Opportunity to perform a broad range of general GI procedures
- ERCP and EUS available
- Shared call schedule of approximately 1:3, expected to improve to 1:4 as the practice continues to grow
- Light weekend call volume, with many cases safely deferred until weekdays
- Practice exclusively at one hospital and one clinic location
- Medical Office Building is conveniently connected to the hospital via a first-floor breezeway, creating an efficient daily workflow
- Replacement position with immediate patient volume and strong referral base

About the Hospital
East Georgia Regional Medical Center is a 150-bed acute care hospital located in Statesboro, Georgia. The hospital features a Women’s Pavilion and offers services that include a 24-hour Emergency Department, Level II neonatal care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, ambulatory care, cardiac catheterization, pain management, wound care, and advanced diagnostic imaging, such as MRI, CT, PET/CT, and interventional radiology. The hospital is partially physician-owned and serves as a major healthcare provider for southeast Georgia.
