We are excited to invite a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our dynamic Gastroenterology team at the Outpatient Gastroenterology Clinic, located on the campus of SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, approximately 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Includes 36 patient-facing hours per week and a half-day for administrative duties on either Tuesday or Thursday.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner) to join our busy and collaborative Gastroenterology specialty team. Our doctors are known for being supportive and great to work with, and a strong mentor is available in the office to guide you through your role. This position involves providing comprehensive outpatient care, seeing approximately 15 patients per day after training, managing timely closure of patient encounters, and assisting with in-basket tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct new and follow-up patient visits in a busy outpatient gastroenterology setting.
  • Manage patient encounters efficiently and ensure timely documentation closure.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.
  • Perform administrative duties during designated half-day weekly sessions.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development; candidates are encouraged to utilize available funds for membership in professional societies and attendance at relevant conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Nurse Practitioner or 2 years registered nurse experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid Missouri nursing license.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., ACNP-BC, FNP-C, AGPCNP-BC).
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
