  • Phoenix Children’s is seeking a talented, energetic, and collegial Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Rehabilitation is an important medical specialty addressing the restoration and maintenance of optimal health functioning and reducing disability.

    The Division of PM&R, a key division within Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s, is comprised of an expert team of fellowship-trained pediatric PM&R Physicians and nurse practitioners who provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care, improving and restoring function, and allowing children to achieve their optimal level of independence.

    The ideal candidates will have a broad base of clinical knowledge and be willing to learn and develop specific skills / knowledge related to neurological and musculoskeletal assessment and management, the inpatient rehabilitation model of care, and longitudinal care and management of patients with disabilities in the outpatient clinical setting. Clinical work includes evaluating and managing patients in the outpatient physiatry clinic and other specialized multidisciplinary clinics. It will also include helping and managing patients in the inpatient rehabilitation unit (12 beds), and participation in the inpatient PM&R consult service.

    • Phoenix Children’s has the only dedicated inpatient acute pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation program in Arizona. It also serves patients extending into the contiguous states.

    Requirements:

    • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
    • Minimum 1 year experience preferred
    • Previous experience preferred in PM&R, Developmental Pediatrics, Orthopedics, or Neurology (as a Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, or other capacity).
