The Marion VA Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced radiologist to join our dynamic healthcare team as the Chief of Imaging. This role is crucial in leading our imaging department to provide exceptional care to our nation's veterans. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership:

  • Oversee and manage the operations of the Imaging Department to ensure high-quality care and services.
  • Lead and develop a team of radiologists, technologists, and support staff.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging professional growth and continuing education.

  • Clinical Duties:

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Interpret imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic modalities.
  • Provide consultations to other healthcare providers regarding imaging results and radiologic procedures.

  • Administrative Duties:

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with VA regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and improve the efficiency of departmental operations.
  • Prepare and manage the departmental budget.
  • Ensure the maintenance and proper function of imaging equipment.

  • Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and oversee quality assurance programs within the Imaging Department.
  • Ensure patient safety and high-quality imaging outcomes.
  • Coordinate and participate in departmental meetings and committees
