Indian Health Services is seeking BC/BE Hospitalist Physicians for the Phoenix Area Indian Health Service (PAIHS). Position Details: The following PAIHS facilities are recruiting Hospitalist physicians.

1) Hopi Health Care Center provides short stay inpatient care to adult (no pediatrics) in a 4-bed inpatient unit. Avg. daily census= 1 pt. ED physicians cross-cover urgent inpatient department needs at night. Hospitalists staff the Fast Track Urgent Care and Outpatient Same Day Clinic. Onsite support includes Emergency Department, Primary Care, Pharmacy, Lab, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Dental, Optometry, and Public Health Nursing services.

2) Parker Indian Health Center provides short stay and swing bed care to adults (no pediatrics) in a 17-bed inpatient unit. Avg. daily census= 1 pt. ED physicians cross-cover urgent inpatient department needs at night. Hospitalists also staff an outpatient clinic providing post discharge follow up. Robust onsite support includes Emergency Department, Primary Care, Pharmacy, Lab, Radiology, Dental, Optometry, and Public Health Nursing services.

3) Whiteriver Indian Hospital provides 24/7 pediatric and adult inpatient services, no telemetry or ICU. Hospitalist shifts are 12h. Avg. daily census = 10 pts. Onsite support includes Emergency Department, Primary Care, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Non-surgical Obstetrics, Podiatry, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Lab services. Xray and CT available 24/7, MRI and ultrasound available M-F 7:30am-4:30pm.
