Our MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a board-certified Hospitalist to join the Cardiovascular (Critical Care) - post-surgical team to manage cardiac and vascular surgical patients admitted to the cardiovascular step-down unit in conjunction with our APPs. The candidate will coordinate consultations and collaborate with surgeons, intensivists and other members of the care team.
Clinical responsibilities include multidisciplinary rounding of IMC-level of care patients within our 18- bed mixed step-down cardiovascular unit. Ideal applicants will have experience in the care of complex cardiac patients. Experience in management of cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery patients is a plus.
Non-clinical duties include quality improvement, optimizing delivery of care, and staff education.

Education Training and Experience Required
• Must be board certified/eligible in Internal medicine
• Commitment to clinical excellence is mandatory
• Broad cognitive and technical skills in the critical care setting is required
• Experience with cardiac surgery and vascular surgery is preferred
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to communicate well with the medical team and family
This position has a hiring range of $215,000 - $311,000.

Compensation Details
$215-311k
The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
