Emergency Department highlights:
· The Eastern Kansas VA typically sees a moderate volume of patients in their ED compared to larger urban VA medical centers. On average, the patient volume in the ED can range from 15 to 25 patients per shift. This can fluctuate based on various factors such as the time of year, day of the week, and specific health events or emergencies. Our higher volumes are during the day during the week. We are a low acuity low volume facility.
· Eastern Kansas has the following subspecialties available:
o Cardiology
o Dermatology
o Endocrinology
o Gastroenterology
o Hematology/Oncology- via tele-health
o Nephrology- limited
o Neurology
o Pulmonary/Critical Care
Our ideal candidate/requirements:
- BE/BC Emergency Medicine, BE /BC FM or IM
- Possess one current, active, unrestricted medical license in any US state
- New grads welcome to apply
- Non-citizens can be considered only in the absence of US citizen candidates
- MD/DO from an accredited institution
- Completion of a full US residency program (or non-US followed by 5 years verified practice in the US

Compensation Details
$250-400k
*Base salary is negotiable based on experience* Benefit highlights: • 50-55 days of paid time off per year • Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% matching • Federal health/vision/dental/long term care insurance offered • CME reimbursement • Free malpractice protection with tail provided • No physician employment contract required and no significant restrictions on moonlighting • Up to 200K in loan repayment offered over years
