VA Loma Linda Healthcare System is one of the leading healthcare systems serving Veterans in the Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 (VISN 22), which includes medical centers and clinics in California, Arizona, and New Mexico.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, (Includes participation in On-Call coverage for evenings, weekends and holidays)
Bonus Structure
Provide comprehensive direct patient care in both the ambulatory-outpatient and inpatient dermatology settings, including evaluation/consultation, examination, diagnosis, follow-up, medical record documentation/record-keeping and correspondence surgical procedures including staffing resident clinics
Participate in electronic consultations (e-consult) to improve access to dermatology care as well as increased use of Specialty Care Access Network-Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (SCAN-ECHO) to foster education and improve care.
Prescribes appropriate and timely treatment; applies indicated therapeutic procedures; recognizes and assesses changes in behavior, symptoms, signs, and other pertinent facts about the patient and modifies plan of treatment when indicated. Recognizes own capabilities and limitations.
Documentation of care in the medical record in keeping with the bylaws of the Medical Center. All encounters to be completed daily by physician as this affects hospital funding. Consults are required to be completed by the provider at the time patient has been seen.
Minimum Qualifications:
MD or DO Degree
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Board Certified or Board Eligible
