Job Highlights
Are you a Hematologist/Oncologist who enjoys coastal life? Come work at the Hampton Veteran Affairs (VA) Medical Center while caring for our nation's veterans! This position has an ideal workday, which is Monday-Friday, 7-3:30 pm (negotiable).
Hampton is a coastal Virginia community with fun things to do and see. Located in the middle of the Hampton Roads region, about 134,510 people live in the city of Hampton. Moving to Hampton means coming to a city surrounded by beautiful waters, amazing restaurants, and historic discoveries. Located just a short drive away from major interstates, you can get away quickly for long weekends and explore nearby cities and attractions like Richmond, Historic Williamsburg, Virginia Beach Oceanfront, and Norfolk.
Position Highlights:
- Non-supervisory
- Works with two dedicated NP's and Infusion nursing staff
- Own office
- Call schedule is set monthly, is by phone to assess any inpatient needs
- Research opportunities available
- Access to high-functioning infusion center
VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package:
An Education Debt Reduction program of up to $200K over 5 years is available. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification) Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting

$360-400k
