Position Overview: MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Oncologist for a full-time locum position. This role offers the opportunity to provide expert care in a supportive environment while enjoying the flexibility of a locum assignment.

Key Highlights:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break)
• No call or weekend requirements – enjoy a great work-life balance.
• Location: Dubuque, IA, a welcoming community with a rich cultural scene and plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy in your downtime.
• Coverage Requirement: 4-week stretches of coverage, with the possibility of taking breaks between assignments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive radiation oncology services to adult patients.
• Manage outpatient cases (20-25 patients per day) including treatment visits, follow-ups, and consultations.
• Perform key procedures such as Conventional Radiotherapy, 3D Radiotherapy, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and more.
• Utilize the Aria EMR system (experience with Aria is highly preferred).
• Work in a Trauma Level 2 facility.

Required Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Radiation Oncology (required)
• Active Iowa License or IMLC (required; candidates who need to obtain these will not be considered)
• COVID-19 Vaccination (required)
• Must be available to start as soon as credentialed (approx. 30-60 days)
• Ability to commit to 4-week coverage blocks (must be available for full-time work during these stretches)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Aria EMR is highly preferred
• Local or within driving distance to Dubuque, IA is a plus

• The facility will provide temporary privileges upon credentialing (30-60 days)
• No on-call or weekend responsibilities
