A unique academic position at a community hospital in a thriving and diverse town!
This is an academic position in the widely recognized UPMC ID Division (rank commensurate with experience) and employed by the University of Pittsburgh Physicians. Practice in one of the leading community hospitals in central PA. This acute care facility offers the luxuries of a college town including short commutes, NCAA sports, arts, high-quality schools, and abundant outdoor recreation with beautiful hiking and biking trails.
As a member of one of the largest division, the selected candidate will receive an ongoing backup coverage and peer support by a large team of ID faculty supporting the site remotely with minimal call coverage. In addition to the competitive compensation package, benefits include many other opportunities such as involvement and leadership in antimicrobial stewardship and Infection Prevention& Control; research; teaching as well as the ability to work remotely.
