The Villages Health is looking for a full-time, Specialty Care Medical Director to join our multi-specialty group, located in central Florida.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Specialty Care Medical Director is responsible for having direct oversight and leadership of the healthcare providers associated with the Specialty Care Centers, ensuring high standards of medical care. In conjunction with the Specialty Care Center Manager, the Medical Director assists in guiding the clinic's strategic direction, and advances TVH’s Mission by developing clinical protocols, and works to improve the quality of patient care by enabling the healthcare providers to function in their roles as effectively and efficiently as possible.

As the Specialty Care Medical Director, you will provide clinical leadership, guide strategic direction, and foster collaboration across primary and specialty care. This role combines hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities to drive quality, efficiency, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor clinicians within Specialty Care Centers.
• Develop and implement clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate collaboration between primary and specialty care for value-based outcomes.
• Conduct performance evaluations and regular team meetings.
• Provide direct patient care approximately 2 days per week.
• Oversee compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Participate in budgeting and financial planning.
• Represent the clinic in community outreach and engagement.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board-certified in Cardiology
• Licensed to practice in Florida.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with leadership preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in healthcare administration and financial management.
