The Department of Cardiology within the Smidt Heart Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director for our Cardiac Non-Invasive (Echo) Laboratory.

As the Director of the Cardiac Non-Invasive Laboratory, you will play a critical role in overseeing and enhancing our echocardiography services. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, diagnostic accuracy, and operational efficiency. Our echocardiography laboratory has a reputation for excellence and state of the art technology, providing advanced imaging aligned with continued growth of our associated clinical cardiac programs. This includes not only our cutting edge structural heart disease program, but also mechanical circulatory support, cardiomyopathies, electrophysiology procedures, and pediatric and fetal care.

The echo lab encompasses the procedures done at the main CSMC campus and some of our affiliates. There are currently 18 attending echocardiography specialist MDs based at CSMC and 43 sonographers as well as a strong fellow, nursing, and administrative team. Over 64,000 procedures are performed annually, including TTEs, TEEs, stress echoes, fetal imaging, and intracardiac studies.

The role of the director will also include maximizing research productivity in the field of echocardiography at Cedars-Sinai and mentoring the fellows and junior faculty in career development in this arena. Collaboration with other cardiac imaging modalities is also a priority for the department. This position may also include participation in outpatient or inpatient consultative care.

**Qualifications**

•Medical Degree from an accredited medical school
•Board certified with the ABIM in Cardiovascular Disease and with the ABE in Echocardiography
Eligible for an unrestricted California license as Physician
•Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of California.
•Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
•Eligible for appointment to Associate Professor or Professor academic rank in the CSMC professorial series
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Exceptional collaboration abilities with partners and staff.
•Proficiency in clinical skills, including TTE and TEEs. Candidates should be recognized for the provision of clinical excellence.
•A track-record of peer-reviewed publications and a plan to continue performing and supervising academic work.

Our compensation philosophy: We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package. Pay Range: $517,278 - $804,000
