The Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System is seeking a full-time Staff Anesthesiologist to join our well-supported, mission-driven perioperative team in Muskogee, OK. Position Highlights

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Call: Minimal
• Practice Environment: Inpatient, outpatient, ED, and CBOC support
• Team: Strong CRNA support + collaborative surgical services
• Patients: Dedicated Veteran population
• Setting: Stable staffing, supportive leadership, and modern VA resources

What You’ll Do

• Perform comprehensive pre‑anesthesia evaluations
• Provide general, regional, spinal, epidural, and MAC anesthesia
• Manage routine and complex airway cases (including advanced techniques)
• Place arterial lines and central venous catheters
• Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs
• Participate in perioperative workflow optimization and quality initiatives
• Contribute to teaching and mentorship of trainees and anesthesia staff

Requirements

• MD or DO; completed ACGME/AOA Anesthesiology residency
• Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state)
• Proficiency across anesthesia modalities
• Skilled in airway management and vascular access
• Eligible for VA credentialing and privileging
• CRNA supervision or collaborative anesthesia practice
• Fiberoptic/advanced airway techniques
• Teaching or mentoring experience
• Prior VA or federal healthcare experience (not required)
