Position Highlights

Role: General Anesthesia with a care team model, primarily focusing on medically directing Anesthesia Residents and CRNAs.
Diverse Case Load: Engage in a wide range of cases with opportunities for teaching and performing some cardiac cases or interventional pain procedures for qualified candidates.
Call scheduled quarterly: Approximately 1:10, approximately 2-3 call days per month.
Hours: Typical shift M-F, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, including one holiday shift per year.
Loan Repayment: Up to $200K in loan repayment opportunities available.

Qualifications:

MD or DO degree.
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia.

Compensation Details

$380-390k

Comprehensive Total Rewards Package: Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases and sign on bonus opportunity. Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and possible 5-day paid absence for CME). Additional Paid Parental Leave opportunities. Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% contributions by VA. Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life plans (many can be carried into retirement). CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification). Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.
