Job Highlights
The University of Iowa Department of Internal Medicine is recruiting part-time and full-time BC/BE physicians for clinical faculty positions that offer a dynamic mix of activities within the Division of General Internal Medicine. Applications will be accepted for positions at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Clinical Track, commensurate with experience and training.
We are recruiting applicants in our cardiology-focused hospitalist, general medicine hospitalist, and nocturnist/swing shift-focused hospitalist tracks. We also provide internal medicine consultative care at the University of Iowa Health Network Rehabilitation Hospital. The University of Iowa is an excellent opportunity for both current and future career hospitalists, as well as those seeking to grow as independent clinicians and strengthen their fellowship resume in a nationally known academic setting with specialty research and collaboration available. Hospitalists work at both the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) and the Iowa City VA Medical Center (VAMC).
Primary practice sites are the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC), which is consistently recognized as one of the top health care employers by Forbes and has consistently ranked as one of the top 15 medical centers in the U.S. by US News and World Report, and Iowa City VA Medical Center, and the University of Iowa Health Network Rehabilitation Hospital. Iowa City is a diverse and family-friendly community located in the heart of the Midwest. As the site of the University of Iowa, it combines access to many of the cultural amenities of a larger city with the ease of living in a smaller town.
The University of Iowa is located in Iowa City, a vibrant community located in the rolling hills of southeastern Iowa.
