We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Vascular Surgery team at MedStar Health Medical Center at Chevy Chase. This location provides access to specialists from MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, MedStar Washington Hospital Center, and MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital. Our modern, expanded facility delivers comprehensive outpatient care, including specialty vascular services. Role Responsibilities

This is anambulatory role with responsibilities including:

  • Independent management of vascular surgery clinic patients
  • Performing patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and ongoing management of vascular conditions
  • Developing and implementing outpatient plans of care in collaboration with attending vascular surgeons
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and coordinating follow-up care
  • Daily collaboration and clinic-based rounds with the attending physician
  • Patient education, care coordination, and continuity of care across the vascular service line

Schedule

  • Four 10-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
  • Schedule varies based on clinic needs
  • No weekends, no inpatient call

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • 1–2 years of APP experience required
  • Cardiovascular or vascular surgery experience preferred
  • Comfortable practicing independently in an outpatient setting
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and team collaboration skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education/Training
  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program or NP program.
  • Experience
  • License/Certification/Registration
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.

USD $115,003.00 - USD $143,619.00 /Yr.

Compensation Details

$115-143k

The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education and/or skill level, etc. Even within the range, the actual compensation will vary depending on the above factors as well as market/business considerations.
