•        The selected leader can expect up to 40 percent protected time for administrative and academic activities and a generous compensation package based on rank and national surveys for Director/Chief compensation data. •        For those who are qualified, additional leadership roles are available in the following areas: Strategy, Ambulatory Medicine and Quality Improvement.

•        The Pediatric Gastroenterology Division is one of the foundation service lines for Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital and includes regional experts and specialties that include inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal failure, aerodigestive, viral hepatitis, and behavioral feeding analysis.

•        While bench science research is not a requirement for the selected leader, the pediatric department does have lab space available for leaders with an interest in bench science with abundant opportunities to collaborate with basic science colleagues across the institution. In addition, the department offers comprehensive support for clinical research and quality improvement.

•        The named Division Director will have the fiscal support to recruit additional faculty to develop comprehensive Pediatric GI specific multidisciplinary care teams (aerodigestive center, feeding center, etc.) and create comprehensive mentorship opportunities for junior faculty in the Department of Pediatrics, while identifying opportunities to enhance the reputation of the division in creating pathways for productive bench or clinical research.
