We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatric Hospitalist to join our hospital-employed team providing high-quality inpatient psychiatric care in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Position Highlights:
- 100% inpatient psychiatry - no outpatient responsibilities
- Monday-Friday schedule, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
- No call, no nights, no weekends - excellent work/life balance
- Rounding on inpatients and responding to psychiatric consult requests on medical/surgical units
- Work closely with experienced Psychiatric PAs, Chair of Psychiatry, and Hospital based-Psychiatry physicians
- Optional academic role - teach NP/PA students during rotations at SVH

Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABIM)
- Clear credentialing history and consistent, comparable work experience
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills

Leonard Morse Hospital is dedicated to the mental health of our community for child, adolescent, adult and geriatric psychiatric care alongside a few out-patient services.
- Expertise care focusing on the behavioral health of children, adults and seniors, including both inpatient & outpatient services

- A partial hospital program to help patients transition from inpatient to outpatient care

Evaluation and Referral
Our psychiatric evaluation team, comprised of clinicians and substance abuse counselors, provides 24-hour access to emergency mental evaluation and substance-abuse care. -
Child Development Unit
We have a 17-bed inpatient unit exclusively for children aged 3 to 17 with board-certified child psychiatrists located at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick. -
Adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit
Our 86-bed unit at MetroWest Medical Center Leonard Morse Campus in Natick and 12-bed unit at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester provide short-term, intensive care for patients aged 16 and older. -
Geriatric Neuropsychiatric Treatment
For senior patients, we have a 24-bed inpatient unit located at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick. -
Partial Hospital Program
MetroWest Medical Center offers a partial hospital program for patients who are transitioning from inpatient mental health care to outpatient. It can also be for emergency patients who do not pose any danger to themselves or others, but may need a structured treatment plan and environment.
