The Department of Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time board-eligible or board-certified Pediatric Nephrologist to join our elite division of 9 faculty members and a dedicated multidisciplinary support team.

About the Position

  • Clinical/Teaching (0.8 FTE): Focused on high-level clinical care and the education of trainees within our ACGME-approved fellowship program.
  • Focused Interest (0.2 FTE): Protected time for professional development in Quality Improvement (QI), Advocacy, or Clinical Research.
  • Location(s): St. Louis Children’s Hospital and various satellite clinics within the BJC Healthcare system.
  • Support: 2 advanced practice providers, 4 clinical nurses, and a comprehensive multidisciplinary team.
  • Department Size: A robust division of 9 faculty members consistently ranked among the top programs by U.S. News & World Report.

Clinical & Research Scope

Our program manages a wide range of complex pathology and offers a full suite of specialized services:

  • Dialysis: Comprehensive acute and chronic dialysis programs.
  • Apheresis: Full spectrum services including plasma exchange, photopheresis, and stem cell collection.
  • Transplant: Expert pre- and post-transplant management.
  • Procedures: Faculty perform their own kidney biopsies.
  • Research Excellence: One of only three NIH-funded Pediatric Centers of Excellence in Nephrology in the United States.

Requirements

  • Education: MD or equivalent.
  • Board Certifications: Board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Nephrology.
