Remote / Hybrid / On-site Locum Tenens Psychiatrist

ExMed's client is seeking a locum tenens psychiatrist to join their ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) team: a high-intensity outpatient program providing frequent, hands-on support to patients. On-site is preferred, but hybrid or remote is an option for the right candidate.

Assignment Details

• Type: Locum Tenens Independent Contractor (1099)
• Shifts: Part-time (10-20 hours/week)
• Commitment: 6-month minimum, with the option to extend if mutually agreed upon.
• ExMed secures and compensates for Professional Liability Insurance for the duration of the assignment
• On-Site: $220.00/HR - $250.00/HR
• Tele: $190.00 - $220.00/HR

Final Rate Dependent on Spoken Languages, Board Eligible or Board Certified, Years of Experience and is determined by Client after presentation

Practice Description

• Authorizing involuntary detention and transfer to hospitals as required
• Perform a mental health evaluation, manage, diagnosis
• Order appropriate diagnostic tests
• Treat and provide consultation for adult patients with behavioral health conditions
• Consulting with clinical staff and other service providers regarding patient care
• Participating in multi-disciplinary treatment planning
• Documenting services providers as required by the County, including the use of an electronic health record
• Referring patients to primary care and community service providers as needed

Qualifications

• Active California Medical License, NPI, Basic Life Support
• DEA - California ONLY. Must not state "Exempt/No Fee"
• Criminal Background Check and Drug Test required
