    IU Health Fort Wayne Hospital is a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility set to open in summer 2027, designed to redefine patient care in northeast Indiana. This 140-bed hospital will feature modern surgical suites, a fully equipped emergency department, catheterization labs, and advanced infrastructure including a pioneering geothermal heating and cooling system—one of the first in the IU Health system.

    Joining the Fort Wayne team offers the unique opportunity to help shape a new anesthesia program from the ground up, work alongside skilled, collaborative colleagues, and gain exposure to a wide variety of surgical cases, including cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, GI, and more.     Key Responsibilities

    · Provide anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical cases.

    · Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and perioperative staff to deliver high-quality, efficient care.

    · Participate in call responsibilities as part of a fair and balanced rotation.

    · Support a team-oriented culture focused on patient safety, efficiency, and collaboration.

    · Provide anesthesia across a broad mix of cases—including cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, GI, and more—while collaborating with surgical groups such as podiatry and general surgery, gaining exposure to a wide spectrum of procedures in a supportive learning environment.

    Candidate Profile

    · MD/DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.

    · Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

    · Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering excellent patient care.

    · Willingness to engage in a collegial, supportive environment and help drive alignment across the anesthesia group.
