  • The Department of Medicine at the University of Toledo is seeking a dedicated and academically driven Infectious Diseases physician to join our faculty at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This position offers a dynamic balance of clinical care, teaching, mentorship, service, and research, within a collaborative academic medical environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based Infectious Diseases care as part of a multidisciplinary team
    • Participate in inpatient ID consultation services across two clinical sites, with shared weekday and weekend coverage
    • Lead inpatient rounds alongside advanced practice providers, residents, medical students, and fellows
    • Provide outpatient consultations and follow-up care in the General Infectious Diseases clinic
    • Supervise and mentor Infectious Diseases fellows
    • Teach and mentor medical students and residents, with opportunities to contribute to curriculum development
    • Participate in departmental, college, and university service initiatives
    • Engage in clinical research, clinical trials, and scholarly publications (strongly encouraged and supported)

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • MD, DO, or equivalent degree
    • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship
    • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases (ABIM)
    • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Ohio (active license required at start of employment)
    • Demonstrated passion for teaching and mentoring learners at all levels
    • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
    • Commitment to academic medicine and clinical excellence in Infectious Diseases
