Associate Chief Emergency Medicine | Central NY

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking an Associate Chief of Emergency and Trauma Services to provide leadership across Little Falls Hospital and Cobleskill Regional Hospital in New York. The role supports a six-site emergency system with ~82,500 annual visits, working within a large, integrated rural healthcare network affiliated with Columbia University and the University of Rochester. The Associate Chief will oversee operations, staffing, quality initiatives, and strategic growth while collaborating across disciplines to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Highlights

• Leadership role overseeing two EDs (Little Falls ~18,000 visits; Cobleskill ~11,500 visits) within a six-site system
• Part of a large EM team: 46 physicians and 42 advanced practice clinicians
• Reports to Department Chief; based at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown
• Responsible for budgeting, staffing, workflows, and clinical operations
• Leads interdisciplinary collaboration and supports recruitment, retention, and APC fellowship
• Involved in quality improvement, patient experience, and system-wide initiatives

Qualifications

• MD/DO with Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
• Eligible for NY State licensure
• Proven leadership in emergency medicine
• Strong communication and team-building skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $425,000 – $475,000
• Sign-on Bonus: $100,000
