Assistant, Associate, Full Professor - Child Neurologist

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

  • Clinical activities include attending duties in pediatric neurology clinics and on inpatient services at the University Hospital and the American Family Children's hospital at the University of Wisconsin, Unity Point Meriter Hospital and affiliated regional hospitals and clinics. The candidate will also provide treatment and neuromodulation procedures for pediatric movement disorders patients.

  • The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the rank and in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of the School of Medicine and Public Health and UW Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have completed a child neurology residency program.
  • Pediatric movement disorders fellowship training or equivalent experience required.
  • Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in one of the following: American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP) with special qualifications in child neurology.
  • Must have a WI medical license by the start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates for Associate Professor or Professor must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the Tenure track.

Education:

MD or DO or equivalent is required by the start date.

The Department of Neurology has over 65 faculty and 25 advanced practice providers located at 20 S. Park/Meriter Hospital, University of Wisconsin Hospitals and UW Health Clinics.
