Practice Setting
- Inpatient surgical hospital
- 5 CRNAs on staff (team of 4 FT, 1 PT)
- Rural critical access hospital (CAH) in Buckhannon, WV
- Supportive team with general hospital staff, no CRNA assistants
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7a–3p
- 8–10 shifts per month, sporadic but consistent
- One weeknight of call, every 5th weekend (call only after approved by lead CRNA)
Procedures and Cases
- General surgery (mostly outpatient), robotic, endoscopy, podiatry, OB/GYN with C-sections
- Cataracts one day per week
- Cardiac limited to TEEs and cardioversions
- Regional anesthesia (peripheral/truncal blocks, spinals, epidurals) expanding
Requirements
- CRNA, board certified
- BLS, DEA certifications
- Active WV license or IMLC LOQ
- Minimum 24 months experience
- Independent practice ability, comfort in rural settings
Credentialing and Travel
- Emergency privileges possible, ~30 days
- Travel and lodging provided
