HIGHLIGHTS
FCS's Central Pathology Laboratory located in Fort Myers FL is seeking an AP & CP Board-Certified Full-Time Hematopathologist / Surgical Pathologist. CAP-accredited, our 20K sq ft state-of-the-art clinical and pathology laboratory utilizes advanced technologies to serve FCS physicians, offering services in molecular diagnostics, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, histology, clinical chemistry, and immunology. Laboratory samples are collected at each FCS site and transported daily to our central laboratory facility for expert analysis and evaluation. FCS clinicians have immediate access to all testing results, which informs timely treatment decisions. Our highly skilled board-certified pathologists are in constant communication with physicians for consultation and to coordinate more specialized testing, when needed.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Analyzing various pathology cases including bone marrow, peripheral blood, and surgical pathology cases.
- Determine and request appropriate ancillary testing as needed to complete diagnosis.
- Provide guidance to the medical oncologists as needed.
- Additional responsibilities may be needed, determined by workload.

REQUIREMENTS
- An allopathic US medical school graduate (AMG, MD), an osteopathic medical school graduate (DO), or an international medical school graduate (IMG, MD) with a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certificate.
- Completed an approved Residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
- Completed an approved Fellowship in Hematopathology.
- Board-Certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Hematopathology.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as Medical Doctor with the State of Florida Board of Medicine.
- Experienced candidates are highly preferred.
