Job Duties:
The Department of Urology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) in Madison, Wisconsin seeks a fellowship-trained urologist to provide state-of-the art treatments for male infertility and other urologic conditions, while advancing the field of urology and training the next generation of physicians. Madison, the capital city of Wisconsin, is situated on several scenic lakes, and is frequently cited as one of the best cities in which to live. This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

Applicants for this position will be considered for the following titles Assistant Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS). The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of Urology Residency; Completion of Male Infertility/Andrology Fellowship by start date. Candidates must have a strong history of academic accomplishment. Must have or be eligible for a Wisconsin Medical License; Must have board certification or board eligibility in Urology through the American Board of Urology; Must be eligible for enrollment as a UW Health billing provider and all necessary hospital privileges.
Preferred Qualifications:
For an appointment at Associate Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate Professor on the CHS Track.

Our Department consists of all major subspecialties, including Urologic Oncology, Endourology, Men’s Health, Pediatric Urology, Women’s Pelvic Wellness, Andrology/Infertility, and Urinary Reconstruction programs.

Compensation: The starting salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
