The provider will be responsible for provision of direct patient care and supervision of the House staff and mid-levels in the critical care units. The provider will respond to calls from the emergency department and other areas in the hospital complex as requested for admissions and critical care consultation. The physician will also respond to Code Blues and help with Rapid Response Team (RRT) calls when appropriate.

Non-clinical duties include quality improvement, optimizing delivery of care, various committee participation and staff education.

The Provider must be board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine and have a valid Maryland Medical License; Provider is responsible for keeping abreast current medical knowledge in Critical Care Medicine and participating in continuing education programs. The hiring range for this position is between $330,000 - $350,000 depending on years of experience.

Compensation Details

$330-350k

The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education and/or skill level, etc. Even within the range, the actual compensation will vary depending on the above factors as well as market/business considerations.
