Neurosurgeon – Spine & Brain Focus – Long Island, NY

A premier, physician-owned neurosurgery practice on Long Island is seeking a highly motivated Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurosurgeon to join their expanding team. This position offers a focus on complex and basic spine procedures with brain cases, and the opportunity to collaborate with orthopedic specialists. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical skills and a long-term commitment to living and practicing in the Long Island area.

Key Details:

• Location: Long Island, NY
• Procedures: Primarily spine (complex and basic) & brain; partnership with ortho cases
• Practice Type: Private, physician-owned group with 11 MDs
• Call: Light rotation; approximately every 4–5 weeks (nights/weekends only)
• Trauma: No ER or Level 1 Trauma center cases
• Practice Sites: 7 offices and 10 affiliated hospitals (typically work out of 2–3 locations)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide surgical and non-surgical management of neurological conditions
• Collaborate with a multi-specialty surgical team
• Participate in a rotating call schedule
• Support outpatient and inpatient care in affiliated hospitals and offices

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
• Active or eligible for New York medical license
• Strong ties or long-term commitment to Long Island preferred

Working Hours:

• Full-time
• Call approximately every 4–5 weeks
• Schedule flexibility based on assigned locations
