Job Duties:
The Department of Radiology offers a unique opportunity and is seeking a dynamic physician-scientist or scientist with interest in building a research program at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and medical imaging to join our faculty on the Tenure Track. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they have successfully obtained extramural funding with at least one NIH R01-level grant as Principal Investigator, or equivalent. The candidate will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, scientists, researchers, and collaborators from across the University to develop and implement a cutting-edge AI-medical imaging-focused research program.
The candidate if a physician will perform clinical work in their clinical sub-specialty.
- Applicants will be considered for the titles listed: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
Required Qualifications:
- Candidates with an MD degree should have completed a radiology residency program, subspecialty clinical fellowship, and also be board certified by the American Board of Radiology.
- WI medical license is required by start date of position, if a physician performing clinical work.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with research at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and medical imaging.
Preferred Qualifications:
All Faculty: The chosen candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
Education:
- MD, DO, or equivalent by start date is required by start date of position.
- PhD in data science or medical imaging field such as Biomedical Engineering, Informatics, Data Science or Medical Physics is preferred but not required.
