Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches (MSPB) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Neurologist to join our team. The Neurology department at MSPB focuses on diagnosing and treating a wide range of disorders affecting the nervous system, including the brain, brainstem, cerebellum, peripheral nervous system (including cranial nerves), and autonomic nervous system. Our Neurologists are also responsible for diagnosing and managing certain musculoskeletal conditions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in neurology, providing high-quality care to patients with both common and complex neurological disorders. As a Neurologist at MSPB, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment, using advanced diagnostic tools and treatment strategies to deliver exceptional care and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to patients with neurological disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Conduct telehealth consultations to broaden access to care for patients.
- Flexibility to accommodate either an inpatient-only role as a neuro hospitalist or an outpatient-focused position with minimal inpatient coverage and shared on-call responsibilities.
- Teach and mentor medicine and psychiatry residents, contributing to their professional development and understanding of neurology.
- Perform specialized procedures, including Botox injections, EMG, and EEG interpretation, to support comprehensive patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in neurology through continuous education and professional development.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and outcomes.
- Provide supervision and guidance to medical students, residents, or other healthcare professionals, as applicable.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board certification in Neurology.
- Active state medical license and DEA registration.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological disorders.
- Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and techniques specific to neurology.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with patients and their families with empathy and professionalism.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred
