MedStar Health Palliative Care is recruiting for a Palliative Care Medical Director/Attending Physician for MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center.
The MedStar Health Palliative Care program has an integrated, patient-centric, and interdisciplinary model of care distributed throughout the Baltimore-Washington region. With over 50 team members, MedStar Health has one of the largest palliative care programs in the country.

As a MedStar Palliative Care physician leader, you will:
- Build effective relationships with referring physicians, identify opportunities to improve patient care, and improve efficiency and effectiveness of the service.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and clinical policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate best practices and actively engage in teaching other team members and learners in the process.
- Collaborate with others as appropriate to ensure that palliative clinical protocols, utilization review, case management, quality assurance, and compliance programs are implemented according to hospital policies.

This position has a hiring range of $178,000 - $248,314.

Compensation Details
$178-248k
The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education and/or skill level, etc. Even within the range, the actual compensation will vary depending on the above factors as well as market/business considerations.
