MedStar Health is seeking two Neuromuscular Neurologists to join the teams at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center (MFSMC) and MedStar Union Memorial Hospital (MUMH) in Baltimore, Maryland. Neurologists on staff have the opportunity to be on faculty at Georgetown University. Dr. Carlo Tornatore, Chair of Neurology for MedStar Health, and the team at Georgetown University welcome faculty to participate in MedStar wide grand rounds, faculty meetings, collaboration with other subspecialists within the department, and participation in clinical research and teaching.
Position Highlights:
- Two positions available: one at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center and one at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital
- Georgetown University faculty appointment (Associate or Assistant level, dependent on experience)
- Ambulatory clinic shared at both MFSMC and MUMH with huge demand for EMGs at MFSMC
- Dedicated research support including clinical trial personnel
- Opportunities to teach medical students and residents
MedStar Franklin Square Hospital Highlights:
- Join Dr. Elliot Dawson (Chair of Neurology at MFSMC) and their team
- Trained technician to perform NCS
- New Neuromuscular lab with two NATUS Systems
- Established multidisciplinary ALS Clinic
- Comprehensive Stroke Center with a dedicated Neuro ICU
- $70 million surgical pavilion opened in 2020
- Telestroke covers nights and weekends
- Weekend call shared evenly with all Neurologists
MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Highlights:
- 223 beds
- Primary Stroke Center
- Join Dr. Duane Campbell (Chief of Neurology) and their team of three neurologists
- MUMH is home of the Curtis National Hand Center and has a large cardiology presence
- MUMH with large neurosurgical/orthospine services on campus

This position has a hiring range of $220,000 - $300,000.

Compensation Details
$220-300k
The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education and/or skill level, etc. Even within the range, the actual compensation will vary depending on the above factors as well as market/business considerations.
