    About The Portland Clinic

Founded in 1921, The Portland Clinic is Oregon’s oldest private multi-specialty medical group. With six locations across the Portland metro area, we serve over 90,000 patients annually with a mission-driven, community-based approach to care. Our commitment is simple: Be trustworthy, kind, and considerate. Treat everyone like family and build relationships that last.

We remain proudly physician-owned and governed, providing a practice environment that fosters autonomy, collegiality, and purpose-driven care. TPC is not part of a large corporate system—our legacy is 100% Portland, and our focus is 100% on our patients.

    About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (Gastroenterology) to support outpatient clinic services and procedural care at our Tigard (TMO) and Beaverton Ambulatory Surgery Centers. In this role, the PA will work closely with gastroenterologists and a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patients, assist with endoscopic procedures, manage follow-up care, and provide comprehensive education to individuals with a wide range of GI conditions.

    • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with GI physicians on treatment plans for conditions including IBD, IBS, GERD, liver disease, and others. Manage medications, order and interpret labs and imaging, and coordinate referrals.
    • Outpatient Clinic Management: Independently manage routine GI follow-ups, monitor chronic GI conditions, adjust treatments per protocols, and ensure timely care and counseling.
    • Patient Education Educate patients and families on GI conditions, procedure preparation (including colonoscopy prep), post-procedure care, dietary recommendations, and preventive strategies.
    • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, safety standards, infection control, and privacy laws.
    • Team Collaboration: Work closely with gastroenterologists, nurses, anesthesia staff, dietitians, and other team members. Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with GI advancements and pursue ongoing professional development such as CME, workshops, and GI conferences.
