Job Details

• Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Cath Lab)
• Weeknight call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend call: 24‑hour coverage (Sat & Sun, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• Call ratio: 1:2–3
• Mix of scheduled cath lab + required call
• Procedures Required
• Position: Interventional Cardiologist
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (1099)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (ongoing)
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital (Adult Level III–IV Trauma)
• Average Cases: ~3 cath procedures/day
• Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
• Coverage: Gap coverage — monthly schedule varies

Must be fully comfortable with:

• Coronary cath (invasive + interventional)
• Right heart catheterization (Swan‑Ganz)
• Temporary pacemaker placement
• Intra-aortic balloon pump
• All standard cath lab procedures

EMR: Epic

Department & Support

• Team of 7 MDs and 3 APPs
• Strong cath lab infrastructure
• Travel & lodging provided
• Not guaranteed full‑time hours; based on monthly needs
• Ideal for physicians with flexible availability
• Requirements
• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
• Interventional fellowship + ABIM
• Active Wisconsin license (not accepting IMLC)
• ACLS & BLS required
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year post‑training experience
• Must be able to cover all required procedures and call structure
• EPIC experience preferred/required

Credentialing: 45–60 days
