Overview:

The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System is seeking a dynamic, board-certified Radiologist to serve as Chief of Radiology. This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee a comprehensive imaging program that supports the care of our nation's Veterans in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Radiology Service, including diagnostic imaging, interventional procedures, and teleradiology.
  • Supervise a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff.
  • Ensure compliance with VHA policies, Joint Commission standards, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinical departments to optimize imaging services and support patient care.
  • Oversee quality assurance, performance improvement, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Participate in clinical duties, including interpretation of imaging studies and performance of procedures.

**Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Radiology.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Eligible for appointment under Title 38 or Hybrid Title 38 authority.
