PEDIATRIC HEART FAILURE / HEART TRANSPLANT CARDIOLOGIST

  • Advanced training in pediatric heart failure and heart transplant required
  • Well-established team caring for complex pediatric heart failure and transplant patients in inpatient and outpatient facilities
  • Dedicated team of two heart failure and heart transplant cardiologists, two dedicated nurse practitioners, two transplant coordinators, a psychologist and a licensed clinical social worker
  • Norton Children’s Heart Institute offers full-service congenital heart disease care, including complex neonatal surgery; pediatric ventricular assist device; and heart transplant, catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
  • Growing practice of 23 cardiologists, 13 advanced practice providers and other specially trained cardiac staff
  • Busy clinical practice performing more than:
    • 350 heart surgeries
    • Six heart transplants in 2022
    • 397 cardiac catheterizations
  • Institute participates in numerous national registries and collaboratives, including the Pediatric Heart Transplant Society and Advanced Cardiac Therapies Improving Outcomes Network (ACTION)
  • Academic position as an assistant or associate professor of pediatrics at the UofL School of Medicine
  • Research opportunities and support available through Norton Children’s Research Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine
