Gastroenterology Assignment with Full Hospital Support - North Carolina
Highlights:

Practice Setting:
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient care
- 86-bed hospital with full support services
- RN and MA team on-site; no APP supervision
- Full access to endoscopy suite
- General GI, bread-and-butter cases with advanced procedures
Schedule:
- Coverage includes clinical hours plus beeper call
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Block scheduling available — ideal for work-life balance
- 3+ phone consults daily, ~3 admissions per shift
- Assigned and unassigned patient rounding
Procedures and Cases:
- Required: ERCP, EUS, PEG, liver biopsy
- Full upper and lower GI endoscopy scope
- Includes variceal injection, polyp excision, small bowel biopsy
- Therapeutic and diagnostic ERCP
- High procedural autonomy with hospital resources
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- BLS required
- North Carolina license required
Credentialing Requirements:
- Standard timeframe: 60-90 days
- Temp privileges available for qualified physicians
