Practice Overview

  • Provide care across hospice home care, an inpatient hospice care center, and an outpatient palliative care clinic
  • Join a well-established interdisciplinary team with physician, nurse practitioner, nursing, and support staff collaboration
  • Manage a daily hospice census of approximately 80-100 patients remotely, providing oversight and guidance to the care team
  • Conduct home visits as clinically appropriate
  • Spend one day per week in the inpatient hospice care center, rounding on approximately 8-10 patients
  • Participate in outpatient palliative care clinic sessions, seeing approximately 6-8 patients during dedicated clinic days

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Hybrid model with approximately 3 remote days and 2 on-site days each week
  • On-site responsibilities include outpatient clinic and inpatient hospice care center coverage
  • Light call schedule averaging approximately 3 days per month
  • Weekend inpatient coverage every 6-8 weeks with additional compensation provided

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranging from $225,000-$265,000, based on experience
  • $30,000 sign-on bonus plus relocation assistance
  • 35 paid days off annually, including holidays, plus a dedicated wellness day
  • CME allowance of $3,500 with 3-5 days of CME time, retirement plans with employer match, malpractice coverage, and comprehensive health benefits

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine required
  • Open to both experienced physicians and fellowship-trained new graduates
  • Interest in interdisciplinary, patient-centered care is essential
