Requirements Carroll Hospital (200 Memorial Ave, Westminster, MD 21157) will be the primary site. Other IR sites include Northwest Hospital and Sinai Hospital. Interventional Radiologist Locums needed for ASAP Coverage Start Date: ASAP (credentialing speed will likely be 60-90 days) End Date: TBD; 3 months at a time until employed provider returns or new contract is filled Required Certification: Board Certified Radiologist with fellowship in IR or CAQ IR Trauma Level: Level I for on-call; Level II and III may present for stabilization/prior to transfer Shift Times: -0800-1700 M-F; flexible with times as needed and agreed upon -On Call: Negotiable; likely not needed but option preferred. 1-4 call backs per week Average Number of Patients / Typical Cases: -Estimated case load: 10?18 per day. -IR is responsible for reviewing and finalizing all RA dictations. RA and IR Nurse Navigator consult with IR daily. APP Coverage: Highly trained and credentialed RA performs light IR. If RA is off, IR covers. RA procedures include: para, thora, LP, fluoro studies, line removals, nephro tube exchange, drain removal, some myelograms and other drain exchanges. Physician Coverage: 1 IR and 1 RA (backfilled with Diagnostic Radiologist if RA is off) Procedures Required?: Yes, light to advanced IR. MD procedures include: biopsies (including thyroid FNA), nephro tubes, g-tubes, percutaneous cholecystostomy, IVC filter placement, angio/embo, port placement, chest tube placement, tunnel drainage catheter placement (pleural and peritoneal) EMR and Equipment: EMR: Cerner and Intelepacs/Clario Room/Modality Equipment: GE, Philips, Siemens Credentialing Timeline: Estimated 60-90 days. Additional Department Information: Only IR coverage is needed, not diagnostic. - IR will primarily cover Carroll Hospital. - If on-call is part of the agreement, provider will cover all three hospitals. If not, coverage is M-F 0800-1700 at Carroll only
