Emergency Medicine Physician – Full-Time Opportunity

GV (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center – Jackson, MS

The GV (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), providing up to $200,000 in student loan reimbursement for qualified candidates.

**Responsibilities:**

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to Veterans in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment
• Provides clinical guidance to ARNP's/PA's.
• Prescribes appropriate treatments, initiates appropriate work up to determine diagnoses, properly admits and/or discharges patients based on evaluation, orders appropriate consultations as needed for care.
• Evaluates the patient to assess changes in the physical and mental status and addresses changes in a timely manner.

Basic Requirements:

• Board-certified/board-eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
• Unrestricted U.S. medical license
• Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
