Urgent Locums Breast Imaging Radiologist Needed in Rockville Maryland.

We are seeking a Board-Certified Breast Imager to provide full-time locum tenens coverage at a hospital-based practice starting March 2nd, 2026, for a 6-month contract.

• Specialty: Breast Imaging
• Start Date: March 2, 2026
• Contract Length: 6 months
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8.5-hour shift with 30-minute lunch)
• Coverage Needed: Full-time
• Hospital-based practice
• Department is heavy in Breast MRI
• Strong support team including:
• Medical Assistants assisting with procedures
• Scheduling coordinators
• Two mammography technologists per machine
• Ultrasound technologist on-site for breast ultrasound cases
• 26–28 diagnostic patients per day
• On procedure days: 6–8 breast procedures plus case reading
• Approximately 60–70 wRVUs on procedure days
• Must be experienced in Breast MRI interpretation and procedures
• Comfortable with a high-volume breast imaging environment
• Board Certification required
• State license required (IMLC candidates may be considered)
• DEA required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Estimated timeframe: 60–90 days
• Willing to license: No (IMLC pathway may be considered if applicable)
