Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist Position Details

  • $100,000 sign on bonus; up to $45,000 in relocation
  • Collaborate with Norton Children’s Heart Institute, affiliated with UofL School of Medicine, the only comprehensive pediatric heart surgery, heart failure and transplant program in Kentucky with outcomes that rival similar programs in the region
  • Provide anesthesia services for more than 230 heart surgeries annually, including heart transplants, almost 400 cardiac catheterizations and 126 electrophysiology procedures
  • Work alongside a specialized team of providers consisting of four congenital cardiac anesthesiologists, 23 board-certified pediatric cardiologists, two pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, 13 advanced practice providers and additional cardiovascular-specific support staff
  • Support patients requiring the highest level of cardiovascular care in the Jennifer Lawrence Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, which has 17 private rooms offering advanced monitoring and facilities specific to the care of neonates through adolescents
  • Participate as a key member on a pediatric cardiac surgical team that completes procedures such as complex congenital heart surgeries, heart transplants and left ventricular assist device placement
  • Be part of a team leading pediatric cardiovascular care innovation for the region, including completing the first Micra leadless pacemaker implant in a pediatric patient in Kentucky, and using intraoperative heart mapping and a microvascular plug

Requirements:

  • Medical degree/diploma
  • Residency/fellowship certification
  • Kentucky medical license or license eligible
