We are looking for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Our multidisciplinary team of specialists are in the air and on the ground for critical emergencies throughout the region. No other area hospital has the experience and expertise in the management of trauma and acute surgical care. The internationally renowned MedSTAR trauma unit (Medical Shock/Trauma Acute Resuscitation) at MedStar Washington Hospital Center is the regional referral center for critical polytrauma patients, treating victims of traumatic injury and those involved in mass casualty incidents. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable working with surgical patients. This position deals with both in-patient and out-patient clinical work.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time day shift position, and the new provider will be expected to work four-10 hr. shifts per week as well as two rotating weekends a month.

You must be an ACNP or PA to be considered for the role. We cannot accept FNPs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education/Training - Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.

  • Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.

This position has a hiring range of $115,000 - $143,619

Compensation Details

$115-143k

The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education and/or skill level, etc. Even within the range, the actual compensation will vary depending on the above factors as well as market/business considerations. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans.
