TeamHealth is seeking an emergency medicine (EM) or internal medicine (IM) trained physician with 5-10 years of successful leadership experience. The regional medical director should be highly skilled and motivated in mentorship, collaboration, problem solving, and business growth.

 The regional medical director (RMD) is charged with overseeing corporate contractual commitments for provision of services to clients, including assurance of compliance with contractual obligation, physician staffing requirements, and fiscal affairs related to these contractual commitments. These responsibilities include: provision of leadership, coordination of medical directors and staff physicians, compliance and coordination of periodic contract re-negotiations with the national medical director, consultants, and/or medical directors. 

RMD job duties and responsibilities may include: * Provides leadership for EM/ hospital medicine (HM) physicians and APCs at integrated sites with number of contracts variable depending upon geography/complexity/system relationship * Working in a paired leadership model with a VPO, the dyad team is the primary TeamHealth contact with the client's administrative and EM/HM leadership * Serves as primary driver for obtaining, managing and improving client and TeamHealth EM/HM operating metric goals working closely with the VPO, FMD and nurse manager * Performs yearly performance reviews on all FMDs and shares with assigned HR business partner * Conducts and participates in triad rounding meetings (VPO/RMD/FMD) with each FMD, no less frequent than monthly * Attend quarterly "client service plan" meetings with hospital administration along with appropriate FMD and VPO; assure that actions items are relayed to appropriate NMD and SVP * Maintains close relations and communications with hospital and system leaders at their sites; works with these leaders on hospital and TeamHealth priorities
