Practice & Cases

• Open ICU with 6 ICU beds
• Adult critical care patient population with an average daily census of 10 and 2 to 4 admissions per day
• Full ICU scope including ventilator management, intubation, central and arterial lines, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, and moderate sedation
• Supervising physician available on call

Schedule

• 7-on/7-off overnight blocks
• 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shifts
• One orientation day before clinical coverage
• Available coverage blocks: * August 17–23 * August 31–September 6 * September 14–20 * September 28–October 4 * October 12–18 * October 26–November 1 * November 9–15 * November 23–29 * December 7–13 * December 21–27

Requirements

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner
• Active Michigan license required
• Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine
• ACLS and BLS required

• Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage are provided
• Orientation stipend provided based on orientation duration
