The Cardiothoracic and Abdominal Divisions in the Department of Radiology at the Leonard Miller University of Miami (UM) School of Medicine (UMSOM), invite applications for a full-time Staff Physician, community radiologist Our Health System is the largest academic center in South Florida, with a rapidly expanding footprint, and The applicant would join 13 Abdominal and 7 Cardiothoracic radiologists across multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial (a primary, and tertiary care County hospital) and UM Hospitals and Clinics, but their primary sites of coverage would be in one of our 5 state of the art ambulatory care facilities in northern Miami-Dade County and Broward County. Our satellite facilities are centrally located in some of the most desirable suburban residential communities in South Florida.
The ideal candidate for this position has completed a fellowship in Abdominal and/or Cardiothoracic Imaging and would preferably be able to interpret within both subspecialty areas of expertise. Their responsibilities will include providing clinical imaging services to interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, and ultrasound examinations, as well as some non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures and to be available for on-site clinical consultations for patients in clinic. The candidate can also optionally participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as clinical research, journal club, weekly multidisciplinary conferences. UMSOM provides ample meeting and vacation time, excellent fringe benefits and a tuition reimbursement package. Of note, the compensation package is quite competitive related to academia.
