The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, Jackson, MS is seeking a full-time Physician (Pulmonary Disease-Critical Care), board certified or board eligible, to join our expanding clinical practice. We are fully committed to providing top quality medical care by serving and honoring America's Veterans.

Candidate must possess MD/DO from an accredited institution, have completed residency training to board certification, and possess an active, current, unrestricted license in any U.S. State or territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Completing inpatient and outpatient consults
  • Review/disposition of clinical and care in the community consults
  • Pulmonary clinics to potentially include telehealth clinics
  • Performing bronchoscopies and other pulmonary procedures

Jackson, MS, consist of eight colleges and universities,three community colleges, and 11 school districts. Also, numerous private schools covering pre-k through college are located throughout the metro area. Compensation Details

$300-330k

Highlights of this opportunity: * Potential starting base salary range: $300,000-$330,000 * Daily schedule: + FT: 80 hours total per two week pay period with off tour call. 8:00 AM through 4:30 PM Monday through Friday tour preferred, but may be negotiable + PT: Intermittent work Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with off tour call. Schedule may be negotiated with supervisor * Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and possible 5 days paid for CME) * No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting VA offers an exceptional benefits package for physicians, including paid time off, affordable health, life, vision, dental, and long-term care insurance, up to 12 weeks of paid paternity/maternity leave, malpractice insurance that includes tail coverage, and more.
